WHO IS 2000 PLUS, INC.?

Men Against Domestic Violence

We are a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit (EIN 33-1196481) all volunteer organization founded in Centerville, Ohio. We have no paid staff and are entirely funded by donations.

WHY JUST MEN?

The organization is not just for men, but most domestic violence cases are perpetrated by men. The purpose of this organization is, from the male point of view, to reduce domestic violence in Montgomery County, Ohio.

OUR GOAL

Dedicated to reducing the number of Domestic Violence arrests in Montgomery County, Ohio …….by 50%.

HOW TO ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL:

+Establish 50 different walk events on the same day. We want 10,000+ people walking for Domestic Violence education.

+Spread our 4 Domestic Violence Education slogans/signs in multiple locations.

+Send our publication, called “The Hero Express” to every household in Montgomery County (est. 229,000) each year. The Hero Express is a 18-20 page publication dedicated to all aspects of Domestic Violence in our county. Postage & printing would be approximately $50,000.

+Find 100+ businesses/organizations to support our walk events and our publication.

+Achieve newspaper, TV, and radio coverage of our walk events and our Hero Express publication.

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

Each year, there are 4,000-5,000 Domestic Violence arrests in Montgomery County alone. It affects not just the victims, but others in the family, along with friends and co-workers. It is a costly burden to the police, judicial system, health care, and businesses in our community.

HOW CAN I HELP?

Volunteers and money are needed. 100% of the funds will be used to finance the education programs of 2000 Plus, Inc. Volunteers are needed to manage the office, speaking to businesses, obtaining arrest reports, gathering and analyzing data, writing articles, and assisting with various programs to reduce Domestic Violence. Learn more about how you can help by volunteering or by making a monetary donation.
